Developers Raven Software and Treyarch Studios have released the official patch notes for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone's big Season 6 update, which is set to release on Thursday, October 9. Call of Duty fans will be able to jump straight from the Black Ops 7 open beta intoSeason 6 of Black Ops 6and Warzone today, with plenty of Halloween-themed content to check out in both titles.

Season 6 will mark the end of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, as the major content update will be its last season. While servers will remain operational for the 2024 shooter, fans shouldn't expect any new content to arrive in-game once Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches on November 14. The good news, however, is that Treyarch Studios has said it's going to "bring it" in terms of post-launch content for the next installment in the series. The studio recently confirmed that Nuketown will be added to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7shortly after launch, but fans can expect plenty more remasters, new maps, weapons, modes, and more during the game's seasonal updates.

Call of Duty Season 6 Roadmap Revealed

Alongside the official patch notes for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 6, which can be found further down this article, Activision has also revealed the full roadmap for the final season. As expected, it looks like Treyarch and Raven are ending Black Ops 6's life cycle with a bang, featuring new collaborations with horror icons such as Jason, Predator, and Chucky. Fans will be able to obtain the new Jason and Predator skins via new store bundles, while it looks like Chucky will be included as part of a brand-new Event Pass during the season.

Warzone players will finally get to return to the night versions of Verdansk and Rebirth Island during Season 6, which will be available in-game for a limited time. As for modes, the new update will bring about two new limited-time modes, Battle Royale Casual Z and Resurgence Casual Z. Both modes will work similarly to their counterparts, but this time with a big twist, as players will need to battle against hordes of Zombies on Rebirth Island and Verdansk. Warzone's mid-season update will also bring another limited-time mode known as Zombie Royale, which allows players to return as a Zombie with special abilities.

As for Black Ops 6 players, there are three brand-new Multiplayer maps launching with Season 6. Gravity, Rig, and Mothball are all 6v6 size maps and will be available in-game on October 9. Also coming with the new season is Boo-Town, another Black Ops 6 Nuketown variant that features gigantic spiders and other Halloween-themed items. Plus, fans will find a new Slasher Deathmatch mode inspired by Jason himself, as well as a Chucky version that will arrive in-season.

The Haunting returns with a vengeance in Season 06, bringing new Halloween-themed map variants and chilling LTMs across all three modes. Fight as and against iconic slashers and zombies and unlock a hearty helping of spooky rewards scattered throughout in-game events and the new seasonal Battle Pass. Season 06 launches October 9 at 9AM PT.
