Ex-SEAL Jason Cabell with direct Nicolas Cage in "Running With the Devil."

Jason Cabell is a former Navy SEAL who served in more than 100 countries and worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration in Colombia. He makes his Hollywood directing debut and wrote the script for "Running With the Devil," a movie about a cartel's efforts to find the truth about a drug shipment that a compromised on its journey from Mexico through the USA on its way to Canada.

After a few years making bank in the straight-to-video market, acting legend Nicholas Cage returns to high-profile movies with his role as Cook, a top lieutenant to the cartel boss played by Barry Pepper. Cook and The Man (Laurence Fishburne) are tasked to find out what happened to the cocaine.

Leslie Bibb, fresh off being the most charming person on all the awards shows as she watched her man Sam Rockwell win every best supporting actor trophy in Hollywood, will play the DEA Agent in Charge who's tracking the crew and Peter Facinelli plays her Number One. Noted character actors Adam Goldberg, Clifton Collins Jr and Cole Hauser round out the cast.

Filming has started in New Mexico, home to other military-connected productions like "Lone Survivor," "The Night Shift" and "The Brave." We'll keep track of production and try to get an interview with Jason Cabell. Here's hoping they license the Van Halen tune as the movie's theme song.
