As a member of the National Guard or reserve, you are entitled to different educational benefits than active-duty members. These benefits are usually a lower amount than the active-duty benefits. However, if you spend time in active service, you may also qualify for an active-duty GI Bill program. To learn more about your specific education benefits, check out the following related links:

Tuition Assistance: A benefit for active-duty and reserve/Guard members that pays the cost of tuition and some fees. Virtually all military service members are eligible. However, criteria for eligibility is determined by each branch.

Post-9/11 GI Bill: The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides up to 36 months (4 regular school years) of education benefits to eligible service members.

Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserve: The Montgomery GI Bill pays a set monthly amount to those attending school. The money can be used to pay for tuition, housing or any purpose.
