    Spartan Paratroopers from Dog Company, 3-509th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, “Spartan Brigade,” fired the M3E1 Multi-Role Anti-Armor Anti-Personnel Weapons System (MAAWS), also known as the Carl Gustaf Recoilless Rifle, during live fire training at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, on Sept. 15, 2021. The Spartan Brigade is the only airborne infantry brigade combat team in the Arctic and Pacific theaters, providing the combatant commander with the unique capability to project an expeditionary force by air.
