Building the World’s Fastest Tail Fin
The Supersonic Eurojet EJ200 engine usually found in the RAF’s fastest Strike Fighter, the Typhoon FGR4, has been lowered into the chassis of the world’s fastest car. Working alongside the Bloodhound SSC team are engineers from the Royal Air Force’s 71 (Inspection and Repair) Squadron who are also building the tail fin and engineers from the Army’s Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) who are assisting with the supersonic car build and doing all the systems integration.
