    The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) patrols the South China Sea, refueling with USNS Tippecanoe (T-AO 199), and conducting flight operations of aircraft takeoffs and landings in response to China's recent attempt to take over sea lanes with a military buildup on the Spratly Islands.
