Mark Bowden's history Huế 1968 goes into great detail about one of the critical battles of the Vietnam War.

Military.com invited Bowden to our offices for a Facebook Live chat and we ended up with a fascinating 37-minute conversation about the men who fought in the battle (on both sides), the questionable tactical decisions coming down from the generals (on both sides), how Mark researched the book and what Huế is like today. We also spent some talking about Black Hawk Down, Mark's outstanding book about the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu.

Huế 1968 is out now and is sure to become a classic of military literature. Bowden is a master storyteller and his book reads more like a novel than a dry history textbook.
