The mileage reimbursement rates for official travel via Privately Owned Vehicle increases in 2022.
For PCS travel the Mileage Allowance In Lieu of Transportation (MALT) rate is $0.18 per mile, up from $0.16 per mile.
The official mileage distance is determined by Defense Department. The number of travelers in the vehicle has no bearing on the amount of MALT paid.
Mileage rates also changed for temporary duty (TDY/TAD) travel effective Jan. 1, the new rates are reflected below.
