Naran Automotive was founded back in 2017, and we first saw the design of the company's supercar in 2020. Naran missed its initially planned launch date for the car, called the Hyper Coupe, in 2022, but it later showed signs of life with a sort of second reveal last year. The company and the car still seem to be alive, since Naran announced that it hired a couple more industry veterans to help keep things moving along. Not only that, but it also revealed its latest release window for the vehicle, one that seems plausible.

Naran Is Bringing On Experienced People

Naran's newest hire is Ollie Evans. He will be the company's new Managing Director, and as Naran notes, he has previously worked at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and Callum Designs. At JLR, he was Head of the Special Commissions Program, and he was the Commercial and Finance Director at Callum. He's one of two major executive hires this year, though, with the other being Giles Clayton-Jones. Clayton-Jones joined in April as Naran's Director of Sales and Marketing. He previously worked at Rolls-Royce and McLaren. Naran isn't done expanding its team, though, and plans on hiring even more people early next year.

Deliveries Are Coming Soon

With some years of development under its belt, and a more thorough reveal last year, Naran has a new launch window for the Hyper Coupe. It expects to start delivering examples to customers in 2027. Assuming that the car is pretty close to production-ready, that sounds fairly reasonable, especially since it won't have to build many, and it hasn't said all of them will be delivered that year. Only 39 cars are planned, and owners will be able to thoroughly customize and even name their examples.

The Pricey BMW-Based Hyper Coupe Promises Immense Performance

It seems like there's a new supercar company launching every other day, all with outrageous claims and designs, so we can forgive you if your memory of the Naran Hyper Coupe is a little fuzzy. To bring you back up to speed, here's a quick rundown on the car. Unlike some companies that are trying to create bodies and chassis that are new from the ground up, Naran is starting with a proven platform: the BMW M8. In fact, you can just make out the M8's greenhouse if you cover up the rest of the majorly modified body. In addition to the chassis, the Hyper Coupe uses an upgraded version of the M8 powertrain
