A soldier deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan, died July 12 in a non-combat-related incident, according to a Pentagon release.
First Lt. Joseph Trent Allbaugh, 24, from Folsom, California, was killed while deployed in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel, according to the release.

Allbaugh was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 108th ADA Brigade, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
His death follows that of Spc. Vincent Sebastian Ibarria, of San Antonio, who died in a vehicle rollover in Farah, Afghanistan, near the Iranian border, on July 3 in an apparent accident, officials said.
Both deaths remain under investigation.
So far this year, four U.S. service members have died in hostile circumstances while supporting operations against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, and six more have died in non-combat incidents. Twelve troops have been wounded in action.
