Hawaii-Based Soldier Arrested for Alleged Ties to ISIS, Official Says

An active duty Army soldier was arrested Saturday by the FBI in Hawaii on terrorism charges for alleged connections he had with ISIS, officials confirmed Monday to Fox News.

Ikaika Erik Kang, 37, was arrested late Saturday night at the Schofield Barracks in Honolulu, federal law enforcement sources said. 

Kang was with the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks in Honolulu.

Law enforcement sources told Fox News they had a "good partnership" with military on this investigation, and a criminal complaint will be filed shortly.

Kang was the subject of a year-long infestation, Hawaii News Now reported. He will make his first appearance in federal court Monday afternoon.
