The Reserve Affiliation Bonus pays eligible servicemembers a cash bonus of up to $20,000. The following is a summary of the Reserve Affiliation Bonus and the Prior Service Enlistment Bonus:

Reserve Enlistment Bonus

Members enlisting in the reserves or national guard may be eligible for a bonus of up to $20,000, the amount of the bonus depends on how long your enlistment is for, what your military specialty is, and which branch you join. Contact your recruiter for more details.

Reserve Affiliation Bonus

This bonus is available to members who have satisfactorily completed their initial military service obligation and agree to serve a period of three to six years in a critical military skill. The current maximum bonus is $20,000. As always, contact your unit personnel office for more details.

Prior Service Enlistment Bonus

Members who convert from the regular military component to the ready reserve may be eligible for a bonus of up to $20,000, depending on their occupational specialty and other factors. Contact your personnel office for more details.
