More On Fort Bliss

Pvt. Richard Halliday, a 21-year-old last seen leaving his barracks room July 23, has been the subject of a search effort.

Officials at Fort Bliss are asking the El Paso community for assistance in an expanded search for Pvt. Richard Halliday.

Agents with the Army Criminal Investigation Command have recovered the soldier's handgun and are investigating the shooting.

The incident took place during an M1 Abrams tank qualification exercise.

Oakley was "found deceased in his on-post quarters" on Wednesday, adding that foul play is not suspected.
