Navy officials are looking into what caused a helicopter to make a hard landing during a recent training event.

The helicopter crashed April 27, 2017, while the Dewey was on a deployment to the Western Pacific with another destroyer.

Officials said that it was the first-ever successful landing of a B-1B experiencing this type of ejection seat mishap.

While one F-35A stealth fighter at Eglin was experiencing a nose gear malfunction, another F-35 experienced a bird strike.

The T-38 had experienced a series of failures in flight before it crashed 12 miles northwest of Laughlin Air Force Base.
