The next regular, active duty military payday is coming on Monday, 1 February 2016, but many service members will see their 1 February 2016 military pay in their bank accounts before the weekend. Wondering when your pay will post? It all depends on your bank or credit union.
USAA
USAA offers guaranteed early direct deposit of active duty military pay as a benefit to their customers. The deposits are processed one business day early, so this payday, deposits should be posted at some point on Friday, 29 January, 2016.
Navy Federal Credit Union
Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) is tricky for two reasons. First, they have two different pay deposit dates depending on what type of checking account you use. Second, they process pay deposits overnight, and that works out a little oddly with weekends.
If you use an Active Duty Checking account for your military pay, your pay will be processed overnight on the evening of Thursday, 28 January 2016 to be available for use on the morning of Friday, 29 January 2016 (one business day early).
If you use any other type of checking account, your pay will be processed overnight on the evening of Friday, 29 January 2016, to be available for use on the morning of Saturday, 30 January 2016. This is because NFCU does not process deposits overnight from Sundays to Mondays, so the deposit comes earlier.
Service Credit Union
Service Credit Union typically posts deposits two business days prior to the actual military payday, but this is not guaranteed. Customers with Service Credit Union may see their pay deposited on Thursday, 28 January 2016.
Pacific Marine Credit Union
Pacific Marine Credit Union (PMCU) deposits military direct deposit one business day prior to the actual military payday. For this pay period, that will be Friday, 29 January 2016.
