To apply, write a 400-500 word essay on how the military has helped prepare you for college. Whether it was through active duty, growing up in a military family, or being strong for your family while your spouse was deployed. Entries should be emailed to: scholarship@liljegrenlaw.com
The Liljegren Law Group will choose 2 winners and award each a $500 scholarship. One chosen by the firm, the other chosen by the people. The scholarship can be used for any school related expenses, such as tuition and books.
Participants must meet the following criteria:
Enrolled at an accredited high school, college, or university in the U.S.
Enrolled at the undergraduate level or your final year of high school
Age seventeen (17) years or older
Must be a Military member, veteran, or have a parent or spouse who is or was in the military
Carry a status of “Good Standing” - i.e. currently enrolled
Maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 (or equivalent)Submission must be received by June 5, 2014
There you go - open to service members, veterans, spouses and kids, relatively loose requirements, and can be used for expenses such as books. What a military scholarship opportunity! Please let me know if you apply and especially if any of you are selected.
