Most months, the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) offers sales at locations away from their regular stores. They call them Guard/Reserve sales, but I call them remote location sales because they are open to all authorized commissary patrons, not just people who are affiliated with the National Guard or the reserve forces.
I try to publish a list here each month, and you can find a list each month at the Commissaries website, but now they've worked out a new way to get information about their sales. You can sign up for email alerts about upcoming sales and changes to sale information. What a great way to keep up-to-date on the remote location sales that might be near you.
I'm not sure how it is going to work out, so I can't tell if they are only going to send you information for sales in the state which you list when you sign up. That might be a problem for those of us who live near a state border, or even more than one state border. You might have to keep checking back here for the whole picture of possible sales near you.
