The next military payday is Friday, 15 June 2012 - one week from today. Lots of folks want to know when they will actually see their paycheck, and I can usually tell you.
Regular military pay should be deposited some time on Friday, 15 June 2012. It can be any time, not a specific time. There are all sorts of variables that can affect the time that pay hits your bank account.
However, many military-oriented banks and credit unions offer early direct deposit of active duty military pay as a courtesy to their customers. The most common offer is one business day early. Financial institutions that offer one business day early include USAA and Pacific Marine Credit Union (PMCU.) If you usually get paid one day early, then you should see your pay deposited sometime on Thursday, 14 June 2012. Again, it could be any time.
Service Credit Union offers deposits "up to two days early," depending on receipt of the file from DFAS. With the regular payday on a Friday, it is likely that there won't be any holdups and deposits will happen on Wednesday, 13 June 2012.
If you bank with Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU), when your deposit will occur depends on the type of checking account. Most NFCU customers will see their deposits pending on Thursday, 14 June 2012, to be posted overnight and available for use on Friday, 15 June 2012. However, if you have an Active Duty checking account, you will see your deposit pending on Wednesday, 13 June 2012, to be posted overnight and available for use on Thursday, 14 June 2012.
