Richard Sisk of Military.com reports that the Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard continue to wrestle with the Congressional mandate to renew the tuition assistance program. This news comes as Senators James Inhofe, R-Okla., and Kay Hagan, D-N.C appear to be growing impatient with DoD’s delays. Hagan and Inhofe sent a letter pressing the DoD to restore military tuition assistance as required by the 2013 Continuing Resolution, late last week . Adding, "We're still awaiting guidance" from the Defense Department on how much money will be available. Sisk added that the Air Force, the Marine Corps and the Coast Guard were unable to predict a start-up time for the program, which recruiters touted as one of the top benefits of joining the military.
