Tactical uniform maker Propper has designed a new combat shirt that sort of takes the current version to a new level. It's been years since the basic combat shirt -- which typically features a wicking material body panel with a fully durable fabric arms and neck -- has been updated.
...a newly designed Combat Shirt and Pant loaded with innovative features including a half-zip front with loop fastener for nametape on back of the collar, a fully articulated elbow with external elbow pad openings, integrated dual cuff with thumb hole and [camo] hook and loop fasteners, multiple dual layer pockets and a double layer stretch shoulder with shoulder pad pockets...
The shirt seems to pack a lot of features into a basic package that's become a key part of a trooper's gear. The other thing is that the company has gone whole hog into the A-TACS camouflage game, offering full uniforms in A-TACS, a pattern which has become increasingly popular with the Law Enforcement community and troopers operating in urban settings.
Kit Up! will try and get our hands on one of these new combat shirts when they're available (forecasted for "spring" of this year) and do a detailed review. But if anyone out there has had a first hand look, we'd like to know what you think.
