Check out this new video from our sister site DoDBuzz of Georgia Tech's new new-ish armored vehicle, called Ultra. The truck is designed with crew survivability in mind, featuring a modular crew compartment that's basically an isolated bubble inside the rest of the truck. This means that the vehicle is designed to crumble around the protective core that houses the crew, similar to the design of a race car. The Pentagon has been looking at various ways to introduce this type of technology into its vehicles for some time now.
