McLean, Va – Military.com announced the launch of Military News, a new mobile app that provides instant access to and interaction with relevant content utilizing customizable newsfeed controls, social media sharing and breaking alert notifications as powered by America’s largest military and veteran membership organization.

The innovative mobile app is now available on both Google Play and iTunes. Users will receive top Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force and Coast Guard headlines alongside pay and benefit updates through a redesigned mobile interface. Service members, spouses, veterans and military news enthusiasts can now access information in a streamlined design as provided by the most trusted military news provider.

"Our goal is to continue to elevate services to the military and veteran community and our new app accomplishes just that," said Greg Smith, President of Military.com and retired Navy Admiral. "Our audience is highly mobile, relying heavily on their smart phones to stay connected. By designing a mobile experience that helps users to personalize news around the topics they care most about, we are able to better empower our entire network."

Additionally, the new Military News app features a "Related Resources" function to connect users with similar profiles, improved offline experiences and deeper access to popular military discountsand veteran jobs that are frequently updated across the Military.com network.

The latest mobile offering, officially titled Military News by Military.com, replaces the original Military.com app and must be separately downloaded from the appropriate mobile app store. The previous app has been removed and no future updates will be provided so as to place resources under the current mobile offering, allowing further development for customizable controls, advanced alert notifications and other mobile advancements.
